La storia di La Vietrese: A historic ceramic family spanning six generations

The history of pottery in the D'Arienzo family began with Vincenzo, born in 1804, and continued with his son Natale and grandson Vincenzo.

Natale began working with his father Vincenzo at the age of just eight, and during his apprenticeship he realised that his work was far more than a simple "business" and that it was not just a job to "make a living" but an art, a passion and a life .

In 1943 they founded their own workshop in Marina di Vietri sul Mare.

However, in 1966, Natale d'Arienzo suddenly passed away at the young age of 54, just as he was working on opening a larger factory. His project, which was left unfinished, was passed on to his wife Emilia and his children Giovannina, Umberto and Vittorio, and his grandchildren continue to carry on his legacy and create his works today.

La Vietrese's artistic ceramics have evolved over six generations, combining passion and experience, tradition and innovation, without ever betraying the unchanging beliefs of the family of artisans.

Each piece is an artistic heritage that has been lovingly passed down within the family and will continue to be cherished for many years to come.
