Le Maioliche
Originating in the Italian Renaissance, Mallorca ware (also known as tin-glazed pottery), which features vibrant colors on a white base, got its name when it was introduced to Sicily via the Spanish island of Mallorca. It is a type of pottery that often incorporates a story, and historical events and legends are often depicted on it. Rudy's "Le Mallorca" series is a homage to this traditional craft that has been a part of Italy's history, and features Mallorca ware patterns as motifs that convey the splendor of each region of Italy.

〇Maioliche Beauty The popular Rudy Le Maioliche Beauty series is now available! The world-famous Italian cities of Florence, Venice, Milan, and Rome are the motifs behind the four major cities of Mallorca.

Product Description

・FIRENZE
A city of culture, art and history, it is the birthplace of great artists during the Italian Renaissance and the Officina Santa Maria Novella (the oldest perfumery and pharmacy in Europe). In the midst of the Renaissance, Florence was the center of art and prosperity in every corner of the city, in paintings and private chapels, in fabrics and clothes, in homes and furniture, in food and perfume. In 1533, Queen Catherine de Medici commissioned the Officina to perfume her, creating a water-based citrus-based perfume with bergamot from Calabria as the main ingredient, which is still sold today as "Santa Maria Novella Water". This story, born in Florence, pays tribute to the Italian way of perfumery.
