Originating in the Italian Renaissance, Mallorca ware (also known as tin-glazed pottery), which features vibrant colors on a white base, got its name when it was introduced to Sicily via the Spanish island of Mallorca. It is a type of pottery that often incorporates a story, and historical events and legends are often depicted on it.
